What is your design style?
Many individuals invest considerable time searching for a designer with a proven track record in crafting aesthetics unique to their vision—an endeavor that can seem paradoxical.
Your space and style should authentically mirror your persona, not merely adopt a slightly modified "copy-paste" approach from existing designs. I specialize in crafting spaces that precisely align with clients' briefs, showcasing a unique and tailored approach to design.
Through capitalizing on my unique opportunities in Dubai and taking advantage of the vast projects on offer, I have had the fortune of designed a great deal of projects across different sectors, and as such my portfolio stands as a testament to my diverse range and creative capabilities.
How long does the process take?
Each project is unique and it depends on the size / scope you are looking for. This might take any where from 4-6 weeks for the conceptual stage and 4-12 weeks for the documentation phase. Generally speaking for a full scale renovation including initial surveys all the way through tendering and authority approvals - 6 months is a good starting point to allow.
Once engaged in any project my commitment is to provide focused attention. One of the reasons I have chosen to operate independently is so I can truly focus my time on the projects I choose to take on, instead of the high volume of project often committed to at larger design firms.
How do you determine your fee's?
My fees are a lump sum based on the anticipated hours for each project, I don't confine the service within these limits. Whether it involves 2 hours or 10 hours, a single attempt or 4 meetings to refine the intricate details of your space, managing this process is integral to my role.
My approach is structured to solicit your input, feedback, and approval at designated milestones, ensuring that we stay on the right track without deviating from the course. The focus is on delivering a comprehensive and tailored service that aligns precisely with your vision, regardless of the time or effort required.
Do you offer trade discounts?
This is hot topic in the industry - the short answer is yes. any trade discounts are passed directly on to my clients.
The long answer is that while many residential interior decorators structure their fees around mark-ups on specified furniture and materials, my approach is different. Material and furniture selection typically form just a small part of a broader scope. Many of my clients also prefer the flexibility to source items themselves, or work with builders and suppliers who may offer alternative pricing.
Given this, and my experience working across both residential and commercial projects—where mark-ups on specified items are not standard—I’ve chosen to take a consistent approach across all projects.
Passing on trade pricing ensures transparency, while helping to make the most of your budget and direct investment where it matters most.
